Many ski touring classics lead up to the powerful peaks of the Ötz Valley Alps, for example the Wildspitze (3,774m), the highest mountain in Tyrol, and impress through breathtaking views. Excellent equipment incl. avalanche protection equipment, special equipment for crossing glaciers and sufficient experience in alpine terrain are absolutely necessary and a basic pre-requisite for an untroubled and safe ski touring experience.
